Ho Chi Minh City Infection Control Society, under Ho Chi Minh Medical Society, is a professional organization of individuals who are interested in the field of infection control, including physicians, pharmacist, nurse, technician...; voluntarily take part in the mission of preventing and controlling hospital infection.
The infection control activities of Ho Chi Minh City Infection Control Society are at all healthcare services including public, private or joint venture healthcare facilities. The goal and objectives of Ho Chi Minh City Infection Control Society shall be
1. Building and promoting infection control as a regular activity at healthcare facilities to improve quality of patient care; ensure hospital environment safely; prevent cross infection between patients, relatives and staffs; achieve the goal of protecting and take caring people health.
2. Exchanging experience and making relationship in infection control and prevention between domestic and international associations.
3. Consulting to authorities about hospital infection control including policy development, protecting the right and raise charisma of members.
4. Enhancing the role of the infection control activities and infection control departments in the hospitals; improving the co-operation between infection control practitioners and other staff in clinical practices.
